Default Magnaflow Exhaust sound clip and vid

I figured I'd post this up in case anyone is looking for something similar.

Not magnaflow's version but it's 2.5" mandrel piping with a magnaflow 14" resonator and muffler welded on.

Nice. I thought it sounds pretty good for a 14" resonator. I'm getting a similar setup but with a 22" resonator. Hope it turns out as well as yours did.

the muffler is magnaflow as well? which model?

yeah, maybe i should have gone with a 22"...oh well. The muffler is also magnaflow. It's the Magnaflow 4X9 with 14" Body: (Center/Center) Part: 11216

It seems kinda loud. What is the performance gain from this setup? What is the cost of the system?

it is a little too loud for my tastes I think. It's a custom 2.5" piping and 14" resonator and Stock looking magnaflow muffler. Total was $200 plus $70 for welding. I don't know what I gained because I also installed a carsound cat and jdm 4-1 header. Probably 8-10whp total and 5-10tq (all up above 5k) I think it feels the same below 3k but a little weaker between 3 and 5k. I dunno, butt dyno doesn't really mean ****.

Thanks for the reply. That's a lot of HP gain and not too expensive. Is a carsound Cat smog legal in California? Is the carsound cat a simple bolt on deal?

Well, that's purely a butt dyno estimation but I have seen quite a few dynos of simlar setups that back that claim up. I have heard the carsound cat is caliifornia legal but I'm not positive. I hope so, if not I will bribe someone...no biggie.
