what tools do i need to take off the valve cover of my 98 civic ex? i want to change my spark plugs as well and possibly powdercoat my valve cover.

 

10mm socket. I'm pretty sure that's it, but it's after 1AM so it is VERY possible that I'm wrong or forgetting something.

 

becareful of overtighting the bolts cause on my gsr (its diffeerent) but i broke a bolt off...also buy a new gasket, even though its rubber and is reusable if your car is kinda old, i would get a new one for extra protecction from leaks

thanks, I'd forgotten about the bolt tightness and the gasket.

 

Just use a 10mm socket on a 1/4" drive and you won't over tighten or break the bolts.

BTW you don't have to take off the valve cover to change the plugs
