milled head

Default milled head

i milled my head .030" and took out 2 layers of my head gasket do i have to adjust my cam timing and if so how much?

Probably and only a degree wheel can tell you exactly.

I searched this before and please correct me if im wrong but every .010 is 1 degree i think.

my machinist told me advance both cam gears 1 degree for every .015" milled off of the head, so for you it would be 2 degrees advance for the head only. i can't tell you how much you are compression you are adding by removing the head gasket layers, though. possibly another .5 compression.
