Default Cold Air Intakes for a GSR

I was looking at the different cold air intakes for my 95 GSR. I was wondering if anyone out there has put any Cold Air Intakes on the dyno to see which made the most horesepower. Also, I've heard different stories....ive heard that some cold air intakes make less horsepower than the short ram intake, and vice versa. Which makes more power the short ram intake or the cold air intake. Thanks for your help.

If your looking for cold air intakes then look at Injen, Comptech, & AEM. Can't go wrong with any of those. As far as short rams go, for the most part, all short rams are created equal, i'm sure theres exception for some expensive brands, but for the most part they all perform about the same.

I have a silver AEM cold air for a 95 GSR for sale. It also has the bypass valve. Let me know if you're interested.

you dont have to have a type r intake for the skunk2 manifold. the only reason you would need a type r intake is if you changed the throttle body

not true for GS-R's

notice the TB positioning due to the butterfly IM...(sits lower than ITR/LS/SI)
