Default ITR cams, Valve Adjustment, Spark Plug results.....

Well today I got my car back from the honda dealer. All I could say was wow after I drove around for about an hour.

ITR Cams- I just swapped out my GSR cams for a set of ITR cams. The power increase is very noticable. You increase power across the entire power band and also in the midrange. The car pulled a lot harder and felt a lot smoother. The cams definately responded well to my headwork. For anybody looking for some good power you should definately look into investing in these cams.

Valve Adjustment- I can't stress this enough. If you race your car or even just daily drive with your car. You should do valve adjustments every once in a while. My car had a ticking sound and a pretty rough idle. If your idle is high or rough then this could be a very good reason why. My idle is now very smooth and there is absolutely no ticking sound at all. Sounds beautiful now.

Spark Plugs- My previous spark plugs that were put into the car were in awful condition. They weren't meant for the car and they weren't gapped correctly. I got some NGK double platinums and I think that will actually benefit to the car because the previous plugs were in bad shape.

After all this I am very happy with the car. The transition into VTEC with the ITR cams is a lot more powerful. You can definately feel the power increase.

Now tomorrow is an even better day that I will recap. Im heading down to Scarborough to dyno/tune the GSR. I will post up my graph and numbers tomorrow when I get back. This way here my vtec crossover is correct and my fuel settings are more beneficial for my setup.

<-------- very happy customer

Do people choose ITR cams over skunk2 stage1's because of the price difference or is it something else?

My car has the "tick". Maybe a valve adjustment is in my best interest. Good followup.
