has anyone tried to make a digital tach or speedo for a honda?
has anyone tried to make a digital tachometer or speedometer for a honda? i was thinking of attempting this and wanted to see if anyone had tried. also, does anyone know how many pulses per revolution(how many times the ignition fires per revolution of the crankshaft) i4 honda engines have(i'm guessing 2 for the majority of them). any replies are welcome.
thanks, me

Why?? The rate at which the numbers on the tach would change would make it very difficult if not impossible to interpret. There is a lot to be said for analog gauges. Just a glance will let you know where you are on the scale.
The spedo is a different matter, however, and digital would be acceptable for that.

Some people have gone as far as changing out their clusters with one from that of an S2000. I know 2 people to date who have done it, unfortunately both have not gotten the MPH to work. Apparently, the signal of the Bseries chassis and the S2000 are analog vs digital.
