Default Brake Problems....

So here's the problem. When the break pedal is applied for a few seconds, the pedal moves farther and farther until it reaches the floor and I hafta put a lot of effort to keep the car in the current position without rolling. Anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this? Thanks...

Car is a 91' CRX Si with b16

One of 2 things come to mind. Either the booster is going bad on you or a vacuum problem with it. Or the dreaded MC failure or bleeding was done wrong problem. Actually, it sounds more like a cylinder issue.

may as well swap to a 15/16ths master. better brake feel and higher engagement point

prob, master cylinder, just changed mine with 170,000 miles on it on my 89 CRX Si. Just make sure to get a new one and not a rebuilt one you'll be happy you did in the longrun.

Check to see if the pedal sinks whether the car is running or not with constant pressure on the pedal if it does its your master cylinder.

If you get a new one upgrade to an Integra 15/16s one along with Integra Booster.
