What needs done on a D16Y8 swap to a B18C1 swap?
What needs done on a D16Y8 swap to a B18C1 swap? i blew my d16y8 motor today in my 00 civic ex and now i want to do a swap whats easiest setup basically?

the easiest setup is getting another Y8 long block and replacing your blown one. Seriously, it is. If you go b-series you'll have to get motor mounts, shift linkage, axles, etc...the whole works...and pay about $3000+ for a B18C1 engine; when you can just buy a Y8 engine from someone (a friend perhaps) who did already has done a B-series swap, for way cheaper. Its up to you though. I'm just answering your question from a 'easiest setup' stand point as you stated in your question.

If you do wanna go B-series, any B-series engine will install just the same. Just make sure you buy an OBD2/96+ B18C swap if want the swap to go someone easier (the electronics are compatible with your 00 EX).
