Well, i finally got a Skunk2 cam gear, becasue i was told i would need one for my setup. Im running a z6 head on my a6 block, zex camshaft, crower sprigns and retainers, I/H/E, and would like to know the benifits of advancing or retarding the timing on the gear.

Also, Someone said with the minime, you need to get a cam gear just to make up for like a "half tooth" distance with the head and block combo. Any info on this. If so, which way does it need to go. With the skunk2 gear, its hard to tell whether or not the CAMSHAFT is at TDC, becasue it doesnt have the little marking for the arrow below the gear. Hope that made sense. Any info is appreciated, thanx.

Other wise I don't know..I have heard that a decked head will advance. But not sure aboutwhich way mini me set ups push you..

 

Yeah, i plan too, after i get a V-afc and my intake manifold in.
