Hey everyone, Im hoping you guys can help me out here. Im thinking of picking up a 89 Civic Wagovan and was wondering if anyone knows where I can get performance parts for it.

Right now Im looking for suspension like a coil-over kit or lowering springs. Does anyone know anything about this car and what works. I dont think you can really swap much stuff over, especially the suspension I heard. Motor wise is still a D series engine.......I think I can do a D-Series header. I might have to junk the dual point injection and go four, maybe run a Si intake manfiold......you think I can get a EF B16 swap kit and put it in there?

Any insight on this car and what ever parts would be greatly appreciated!

Ohh.....any OEM type lip kit??

 

Has any fixed one of these up? If you guys can post pics of ones that would be sweet!

Honda Tuning has an article called Draggin Wagon about fixing up an old Wagon. They lowered it and stuff so there must be aftermarket suspensions for them.

Pretty much an Civic/Integra suspension components will work. The only thing different are the rear shocks. The spring perch sits lower on the shock on the Wagon, so if you're using Civic/Integra springs you have to use the Civic rear shocks as well. I had some ITR shocks laying around and some ghetto-cut Neuspeed Race Springs a friend gave me that I'm running now. For the ITR shocks you have to use EG front shock forks, and ITR/88CRX rear LCA's. It's really stiff now, as it's so low it doesn't have much suspension travel, but it corners nicely as long as the road is smooth. It's horribly bouncy, and gets annoying on occasion. Overall it wasn't a bad mod for a grand total of $35, and she looks pimp. It is however funny when the car you autocross/ do HPDE's in, an ITR, is more comfortable than your daily driver.

So let me get this strait, I have a set of Tein HA's for 91 Civic HB right now. I would be able to install those no problem right? Or any Civic suspension on that matter?

You said if you're using Civic/Integra springs you have to use the same Civic rear shock as well right? Not the rear shock off of the Wagon correct? I just wanted to make sure here. Its sounds like thats right....especially from what youre describing when you are using the ITR stuff.
