I bought a 94 vx the other day and the valve cover says vtec-e? is that vtec-economy, any help would be appreciated.

 

Basically when the vtec-e isnt engaged you are running each cylinder on 1 intake valve wich causes the air to swirl inside the cylinder and when it is engaged it opens both valves the same distance.

 

does vtec-e engage like regular vtec? if so, when(rpm)?

 

yes its exactly the same and the rpm question has been answered

what do i search for, vx is too short, vtec-e brings up anything with the word vtec in it, and vtece says there was nothing found?

 

yeah do a search for "vtec-e" WITH THE QUOTES and you will find what you need

vtec-e is not for performance. it helps give better gas mileage. you could work with but motor but imo its not worth changing most of the part on the vtec-e
