Default KYB shocks from an EG fit an EF?

have the opportunity to purchase some KYB Gear Climb shocks off an EG civic.

two questions:

1) can anyone provide me with some info on these please, as I can't find any on KYB website.

2) are EG shocks any different to EF shocks? i.e will these fit onto an EF9 (a real one)

to fit the front struts on you'll need the EG/DC style front forks. and the rears should just bolt in. BUT stock versus stock, the EG struts are longer than the EF ones. so you will lose travel. don't know the comparison from kyb gc EG struts compared to stock EF ones, though. you might gain travel, lose travel, or stay the same.

here's a exert from kybclub.com, translated by babelfish.altavista.com,
http://babelfish.altavista.com/babel...2FType-bc.html

hope that helps. now hook me up with some new zealand EF9 side moldings.

rear shocks will need a spacer , the shock fork is slightly thinner on the EF.
