In-Dash Clock Illumination
Does anyone know how to remove the in-dash clock on a 2000 Honda Accord SE? The back lit illumination has gone out. I purchased a new bulb and the Honda guy told me to just pop out the clock to change it. I tried and I feel like I may break something. Do you need to take off the outer molding around the clock, radio, temp gauges? I must not be doing something right. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Yeah you need to take the outer molding off first. The screws that hold it on will be on the bottom of it. After that the clock will come out with the molding, just disconect the two plugs from the clock and it will come free from the dash.
take a flathead screwdriver (like soysauce021 said) and wrap it with a thin towel, shirt, or cloth so that you won't damage the molding. place the flathead underneath the clock and push up. grab the clock to assist with the removal.
