i need to know what kind of valve spring compressor to use to get the valves out.

tuesday i mis shifted on accident. and caused some damage. and you can see where the valves hit the pistsons. also. with the head off. you can feel slighty where some of the valves sit farther down the head than others.

so if you can. please help me out. i need to know which compressor to use and any other special tools to use.

you can use a 12 mm deep socket and a rubber mallet...just place the socket on the retainer and hit it... assuming the head is already off the block.

 

yes the head is off the block. any other suggestions. ones that don't require killing my head with a 12 mill?lol

i believe you can rent a spring compressor from autozone or something... valve chip on the piston head will play with your compression.

 

i had an extra head from an h23 layin around so i practiced the socket and hamemr trick and it worked really well. thanks to whomever reminded me of that.

floated all 8 exhaust valves and bent all of them as well.
