Default How to paint Intake?

I just bought a generic short ram intake and I want to spray it gunmetal. It is currently in bling form.

I sprayed some gunmetal paint that they make for wheels but it's not sticking on there at all.

What kind of prep should I do? What high temp spray paint should I use? Thanks.

Yeah, you gotta "rough it up" a bit, so the paint will have something to stick to. The blingness is a repellant

post them up use 400 grit sand paper to sand it down, then use higher grit to smooth out the pipe. Then use a good high heat primer(for plastics) and give it a few good coats then paint it.

I got 2 coats of automotive primer on there right now. Also have 1.5 coats of the gunmetal spray paint. Waiting for it to dry so I can finish it off

Took some pics already but will post it up after I am done.

It looks more like the V2 gray. It's darker in color than the AEM gray.

Media blast that **** and you could get teflon to stick to it . A good sand/media blaster costs about $150 at Sears...
