Autometer Air/Fuel Gauge now working after Hondata install
Does anyone know why my Air/Fuel Gauge stays pegged at rich after I installed my hondata s100? It was working fine with the stock ecu, but now after changing over to obd1 and putting in the hondata s100 the gauge just stays at rich all the time. I've heard stories that the A/F guage doesnt work with chipped ecu's but is there any reason behind this???
Sounds like you have a wire loose. If the meter doesn't receive an input for O2 it pegs rich.
And i have a chipped ECU and it works fine so.. it should work.

I wired the purple wire to the solid white wire on the ecu harness. I have an obd 2 harness with a hondata p28 ecu made to fit an obd2 harness if that makes any difference at all. I checked again and all of the connections are secure. Any other suggestions you guys have?
U CAN HOOK IT UP TO THE O2 SEONSOR, OR STRAIGHT TO THE ECU, SO IF U HAVE IT HOOKED TO O2 TRY JUMPING IT OVER STRAIGHT TO THE ECU HARNESS AND IT SHOULD FIX THE PROBLEM

Please do NOT use that AF meter for tuning! It's nothing more than an idiot light since it uses the stock narrow band sensor. Oh yeah, you have a bad connection.
If this has been tuned, check with your tuner to see if they burned the chip in open or closed loop. If it was set in open loop, then the A/F guage will not be worth the plastics it's made of. If this is a base ma, it doesnt' really matter, just go get it tuned.
