Here's the dilema guys: I got into an accident with my accord in June.(rear end) Their insurance totalled my car so i got back $1900 for it. The back doesn't look too bad, except now i need a taillight, trunk, bumper and maybe the bumper support. Well, the car was hit in the front a little too, but i fixed that already. Anyways, what would you guys do? Try to get a new car (which i've been looking for one desperatly). But with 1900 bucks, you probably wouldn't get much. Or get the almighty H22a? The chassis has 184k on her...and still runs strong. Give me input guys.
Thanks
Thanks
hard call, I'd say from experience that messing around with a car that has been wrecked can be a pain in the ****....so I'd almost be tempted to say buy a CRX and swap a B18 in it ;o). I dunno, the h22 is a good option if the body really is in good shape, but I'd consider grabbing another Accord.

almighty my ***...h22 is way overrated....i can think of much better ways to spend $1900 than an h22 (after having made that mistake already)

Well heres the deal guys:
The original plan was just to drive my accord until she dies, well, i don't think she's gonna die anytime soon, even with 184k on her. The old F22a1 is burning oil and im not sure when the timing belt was changed, so that's another thing i don't wanna mess with. As for the different types of cars, i've been finding USED cars with like 170k plus on them for 2500 or more...thus making it extremly difficult to make a bid, that and having a new USED car with 170k i don't think is worth it.
CRX= i love this car...only thing is my gf wouldn't approve. I would like to have one, but she doesn't like the back or design of the car, thus making it impossible for me to get one. (i have a kid also) Otherwise, DEFINATLY!!!
Oh and i'm in no position of getting a 2004 or anything i'd have to pay off, and yes i OWN my car

honestly maybe look elsewhere:
you can grab like a Nissan Sentra Se-R that have been proven to be soooo fast even with mild bolt ons.. the Sr20de blocks can hold an amazing amount of power to them stock:
We 've seen, run and have ppl here that push amazing numbers on stock blocks:
91-94 cars are fairly cheap and well you can grab something like that, they are somewhat nice for an older car. like your accord, pretty cheap and you can still do a few bolt ons to make it FAST

Well, i've owned Honda all this time, test drove other imports, but none of them suit my needs as a Honda does. This Accord i have now, even with all these miles, i wouldn't hesistate to take it on a 6 hour trip. Other cars i don't have that type of reliability. Honda's never done me wrong.
About the bolt on's...i figured they'd be a waste if i DO swap in an H22 in the future. All i got in it is a CAI. But if you're talkin turbos and whatnot, i'd stick with the all motor concept. Just because i barely know anything about that area of performance.
