[FAQ] CRX JDM EF8 Front End Fog Light (56kers good luck)
I havent seen any real info on how to bolt up these foglights. So im going to attempt to give an idea on how to do it. The car is an 89 crx si with a jdm ef8 front end. I am using the ef2 radiator support, which comes on the si-r front ended sohc cars. This makes it a strictly bolt on affair, without having to modify the si-r radiator support. Which is exactly the same as the usdm radiator support but with a "JDM" vent. I have tons of photos, so PM me and ill get you some hi-res shots or whatnot.
This is the front end stripped, you can see the foglight brackets and my PIAA wireless fog relay.
Here is the drivers side fog mount, mounted. note the stock bolts lining up. Also, if your car doesnt look similar it might be the "cube" that the bumper bolts up to is a jdm part.
Here is the passenger side bracket, notice the "customizing of the mount". I utilized a hammer, massage accordingly as long as the two bolts line up you will be ok, im missing a bolt
Now that we have the brackets all figured out now comes the cutting of the bumper section. This is the bare minimum u need to cut and cutting it all out might be more convenient to remove the bumper without removing the foglights.
here is the drivers side lower hole, notice the hole is a guide.
upper hole.
These are pretty much self explanatory, and u can see that removal of the bumper means removal of the fogs first.
This picture is looking into the bumper light hole, the bottom most bolt is the fog light mount bolt.
side view installed, dirrrty.

Whats the big deal about putting JDM fogs on the JDM front they were made for? Putting JDM fogs on a USDM front or Prelude ones or something would be more helpful.

When the **** did I ever say they weren't similar? All I said was what that **** is such a mystery about putting foglights made for the car onto the car. My girlfriend is in the hospital now and I have bigger problems than what I can contribute to some stupid internet forum.

ok sorry if i must have misunderstood your comment, i guess you arent familiar with crx's and the differences with sohc and dohc chassis. These came off of a SI-R bodied front end, and is my car a Si-R body, no. So in fact they are not made for the car on the car. Not to be a dick.

I apologize for my shitty attitude and jacking your thread, but I was in a really shitty mood, and with good reason.
