Just bought Oil
Your owner's manual and I both recommend 5W30 as preferred over 10W30.
And I prefer the Honda OEM oil filter to aftermarket ones.
If you do a search, you will find plenty of previous topics on both these subjects.

is the washer on your drain plug - best to just replace it every oil change.. - and is free most of time with purchase of oem filter.. theres also rubber seal that goes behind the filter - installed on oem filter so you don't have to re-use it..

Fram makes the OEM filters for the Canadian marktet, but you want to stay away from these. Fram filters are crap and have cardboard endcaps. If you to get OEM filters, try getting the ones made in America.
I personally use Supertech (Walmart brand) filters on my car. They're actually made by Champion labs, have a bypass valve and are the best filters out there for under $2.

Just thought I'd try something new, Mobil1 recommends it for 94+ Acura Integras.
This is from their website:
Mobil 1 0W-20 is the ideal product for high revolution and output four and six cylinder cars where a 0W-20 or 5W-30 viscosity lubricant is recommended.
Read more about it here: http://www.mobil.com/USA-Engli...0.asp
So far I've actually burnt less than I usually do w/ 5w-30

i see.. it may burn less, but does it lubricate as well.. if its lighter, then it won't stick on internals as it would with heavier oil? 0 is when its cold and 20 is when its warm? i gotta re-learn my oil abc..
whats a good link for reference?

yea, usually you can get OEM filters at your dealer in bulk for cheaper. Remember to put some oil on that rubber gasket on the filter... And next time change the washer. They're less than $0.10, and my dealer usually tapes them on to the filter, so they're right there when I grab a new filter for my oil change.
The crush washers are designed to crush as you tighten the drain bolt, to ensure a better seal. I'm sure once or twice without changing it is ok.

Interesting points, I need to touch up on my oil basics too

Sounds good, those pure 1' filters are good, so are the Honda OEM's.
Just stay away from the Frams, they are garbage .
The crushwasher isn't that big of a deal, they do last a bunch of changes but if it starts to leek you can just put some silicone gasket stuff on there, it won't leek.
