Whats your thoughts on this then folks ?

I've got a Power Acoustik 640 (Q series I believe) on which I have a set of inifinity components and infinity 6x9's powered by an Alpine head. I was just wondering if anyone else had noticed that these amp's appear to be well rather lacking in mid range punch. I had a completely different setup in my last 'vic the only constant factor being the amp and that was rather lacking in mid range too.

No matter what I adjust (LPF HPF on amp) it appears that the midrange is just completely filtered out, even with adjusting stuff on the headunit makes no real difference. It's annoyed the hell out of me now for so long I've decided perhaps to get a new amp.

Just wondering what your opinions were.
