I just got a set of 92 gsr wheels with 2 bad tires and two ok tires. I dont have the cash to drop the money on a new set and was wondering if anyone has had experince at a used tire place? btw how much do tires run at those shops and is it even worth messing with?

ive done it you can choose which tire you want. i got tires that were same brand and model but sometimes only 1

I keep a beater around for grins and to keep the salt off one of the Tahoe's during the winter. The last one was a 1989 Chevy celebrity. I traded up to the current one, a 1988 Buick Century with 46,000 original miles on it.

Both cars get their tires from the local "recycling yard". 20 bucks apiece, mounted and balanced. Have yet to get a bad set. And I'm on my 3rd 80 dollar for a set of 4 tires. Considering that the Tahoe tires list for 120 bucks apiece I consider the car deal, quite a deal. Usually get 35000 miles plus on a set.
