You mean the glass top? The CRX Si sunroof is the same size as the JDM ZC sunroof.

And it DOESN'T open.
Search google or yahoo- "Glass top CRX" you'll find dozens of pix of it, all over the net. or search "CRX Exclusive" it had a glass top too. LOL
One more thing in Japan there is a hyphen in CR - X.

The CR-X you are refering to is called a Cyber CR-X in Japan, they came in SiR trim. The roof was like a moonroof but doesn't open or close. I had an old pic somewhere but, it's on my old computer.

These two statements are partially correct.
The "Cyber CR-X" and an Si-R are NOT not same.
They were different models. Si-R meant, coming with a B16.
Both models were available with the "glass-roof", but it wasn't exclusive to either. However, the "glass-top" was exclusive to Japan, only. It was never exported.
But you could at the time, get an Si-R without the glass top.
But I do belive part of the "Cyber CR-X" package was the "glass-top"
And you could also get the "glass top" model in non-Si-R or non-Cyber-CR-X form.
I have the JDM brochures to prove this.
Needless to say the "glass-roof"models are somewhat rare.

There never was a UK Si-R.

It was a used JDM Si-R CRX exported to the UK after the fact. It was never a UKDM available car. I have the UKDM brochures. The UKDM and the EDM versions of the Si-R are called VT-16v or VTi or something similar depending on year of manufacture and country destination or country of origin.

Because the UK is RHD, the used JDM versions can be exported there easily after their "useful life" in Japan has expired. It's quite common for their to be used JDM cars in the UK, because of the RHD thing. And their ease of registration, it is not so with JDM cars in the US.
Whereas the US doesn't get many "Whole" cars, we just get engines and front clips. There really isn't a market here for used RHD cars, the way there is in the UK.

There are EDM rex's so whoever said that glass top is exlusive to JDM is wrong. EF8's and EE8's (i believe that's the correct one) had the option.

Also, last time i checked hmotorsonline had one for sale and occasionally they are for sale on ebay. Its a chop job though so go to a pro. I dont know of anyone who has actually done it, but i know many people want too.

EE8's are the UKDM or EDM equivalent of the JDM Si-R you are correct, see my post above.
However they were NEVER CALLED Si-R's in EUROPE unless they are imported JDM ones. AND the EE8's NEVER had the the "glass roof" option. Those are EF8 or EF9, I forget. But they are JDM not EDM.
If I had a scanner or digi-cam I would post the EDM and UKDM brochures I have, but I don't, so you'll just have to take my word for it.

You are correct here my friend

Us ukdm people never got the glass roof as standard or option, that was jdm only.

Our CRX 1.6 VT (ee8) only got the normal sliding sunroof.

JDM cars had the option of a full roof (completely metal) or glass roof

Dan!!

I take that as a compliment, I think.
I probably have more than 25, I never really counted, I know my CRX literature takes up a whole bookshelf. LOL
But there are a few I still need, so, if anyone has foriegn CRX brochures, please PM me. Especially, the overseas options/accessory ones.(very hard to find).
My CR-X obsession is HT members gain, hopefully. LOL
Just passing on what I've learned.
