viper trouble shooting
look in the manual. mine isn't a viper, but when the led stays on, it means i'm in valet mode.
and when it doesn' chirp - yeah it's in silent mode. but check to see if your siren or horn still sounds, maybe it's the siren itself.

Coz I am having the same problem,.......i don't hear any shirp but you can tell its arming........red light is always on unless I have the car started...pls. helP

***NOTE***
YOU MUST HAVE THE DRIVERS DOOR OPEN when doing the button 1, button 2, button 1 sequence. If you don't it will not switch back.
When you do get it back to alarm mode, the siren/horn will chirp

thanks that didn't work but ingnition on then off then pushing the valet switch did the trick. Now the problem I've been having is the lights.....i hear it chirp but no blinking lights...........& when it alarms too, lights don't blink
