I seem to have this problem sometimes. Sometimes it starts and sometimes it doesn't. But Recently It just hasn't started. I try to turn the engine on but it just turns and doesn't turn on. Lights, Stereo everything else works. I've tried replacing the s. plugs but still same problem. It just turns but doesn't turn on! >:[

I also changed the oil and fuel filter.

 

starter or alternator perhaps

 

you need fuel, spark, and compression to start your car.
start checking everything one at a time. start with fuel, then work your way back to compression.

 

hey i had the same problem ,it`s the main relay(located under the dash near the steering column)

check to see if you're getting spark.
it could do the same thing if your ignitor is out

Ive had this problem many times. I turn the key, and nothing happens. The car does not even try to start. First time it happened to me, after making sure it wasnt vapor lock and waiting about 1 hour, i got it towed to the Honda dealer.

I couldve guessed it, but they couldn't reproduce the problem. Since then its happened prolly 15 times. Everything in the car works, stereo, windows etc... but it seems like something in the ignition isn't "catching", so the engine doesnt know that youre turning the key.

What works for me is, take out the key, curse a few times, put the key back in, and try turning the key very quickly, without pushing in very much at all. Only push in the key as much as you have to, and usually after 5-6 tries, it starts right up.

I know it sounds ridiculous, and I have no technical explanation, but it works.
