Default Started fabing our new header today

Here are a few pictures of what I could get done today. Keep in mind that this is only a mock up and the finished product should look a little different. The collector in the pic is just to hold everything together, in the end the collector is actually goind to sit parallel to the distributor and the final exit point is going to go under the intake manifold and under the car. Its not even close to finished but you get the idea!!!

Nice
The primaries look huge!
Do you have any plans to produce a street header?

Yeah !! I do realize that the #3cyl is longer than the others but for now it is going to have to do. Iam trying to get this car together in only a few weeks for the october race here so I cant get too involved with the header, we still are working on the new head and dont have that done either. When we finally get to the dyno we are going to bring a few different headers to see which one works best. Oh and as I wrote earlier the collector is going to be on the distributor side of the head with the exhaust stream exiting under the car.

No we are not a shop, for a long while we were distributing our own line of billet mounts but due to the amount of companies now making them we decided to stop. I have entertained the idea of opening a shop but I dont think that I will ever do it, for now I still do motor swaps custom fabrication for turbo and n/a cars out of my house. If you go to firebird ever Iam sure you have seen our car there.

I have no plans on producing any kind of products to sell abroad but Iam willing to make you something custom if you are wanting it. heres a pic of a street style header that I have on the back burner, and the other is a side exit that we were using for a while on our car.

How about making something that fits the AC equipped 90-93 LS/GS Teg

The AN-R header on my EF is dope but I don't want to sacrafice the AC and PS just yet

I guess that I would be willing to make the one you see in the pic for about $450.00-600.00 depending on wether you want it to be 4into 1 or a 4-2-1 would make a difference.

the question about the style or shape of the header is valid,

the context in which the question was asked is demeaning.

To me it looked like a turbo header... similar to the likes of Hytechs... however, this is a N/A forum and he did say that the collector was only there to hold the pieces together. There was also a statement that said the header would wrap around the distributor side and go under the intake manifold. Then there was a picture of an all motor header and a comment that said the different types of headers would be tested..... To me that seems like an awfully lot of heat being held in the engine bay especially near the intake manifold. I can see if it was similar to the design of Bisi's header for his 1.5L, but his design was for a completely different theory. Was I really wrong for thinking that way? I will admit that I was wrong for stating the question that way. I do not believe that there was any mention about a turbo header in the thread.... My apologizes to AZfab for the comment.... By the way is that Eddie's car? I am all for different ideas i just wanted to know if there was a reason for it. Those in the industry normally call Turbo Manifolds "Turbo Manifolds" and not "Headers" As far as Newbie ....95HbMatt, I think you may want to educate yourself.

im still not sure if its for a turbo motor or all motor, its posted in all motor forum so it must be all motor,

i think that people will get ahead by thinking out of the box. there is nothing wrong with being weird and trying diferent stuff.

Iam a pretty humble person so trying to get me pissed off doesnt usually work !! and no offense was taken by your question. I originally got the idea for this header when I was in japan at spoon sports I saw the following motor in there display area and thought I might try something different. To awnser the other question no this is not eddies car, eddies car is not the same orange color anymore he has painted it silver because when he moved here everyone always used to get our cars confused. And as far as me knowing what the hell Iam doing, I guess you could say that I get by just fine . And no we are no longer using the Itbs.
Ohh and one more thing, I have always thought that some racers over analyze things a little too much and if they would just try different things all the time then they wouldnt have to analyze everything because what they are thinking about doing would be done and they would know if it worked or not. But thats just me and what do I know!!

Nice pic... I think that clears up the issue of all those people who first of all thought I was stupid for thinking that is was a header and not a turbo manifold. I find it rather amazing that I was the only one who questioned this person's idea. You all will thank me later for this lesson in life. My second question was in regards to the understanding of if you knew exactly what a header like that would do performance wise... This person obviously got the idea from Spoon Sports, which was not recognized, and perhaps Spoon could very well provide information on HP and torque with regards to mid range, top-end etc etc..I do realize that most of those spoon sports cars are designed a little different engine wise for road racing. I do not have the answer and perhaps you found out a little information. For all the others in the peanut gallery, I was not questioning this person's intelligence nor this person's abilities.

I was also concerned with the heat factor. I mean i guess the design principal is valid to try. Even though I think you standard side exit or similar would probably outflow it, however this seems like a valid design. But the amount of heat generated right by the distributor/intake manifold etc... would appear to be a problem no?
