I've had both a short ram and a CAI. I couldn't even tell the difference. An intake is an intake. They all net you about the same gains. Just get the one that looks the best.

where did you get that info from?

on the rsx-s you'll see a difference in power between cold air and short ram intakes. but the brand won't matter much. i have the comptech icebox and i'm happy with it.

Agreed. The Sri will feel nice for about 5 minutes then the power just goes away becasue of heat soak... IMO up top it should be about the same, but the cai's mid end is superior to the sri's... I don't know i gave up on my shorty and went with a cai, and It defeintly showed at the track.

I like my Injen CAI. Definately feel the diffrence. All i've heard about the SRI is the heat soak takin all the power away..

Oh I thought the V2 still suffered from heat soak, guess I have been misinformed

I've noticed w/ my Injen SRI w/ heatshield...low end has gotten worse...theres been plenty of times when my car almost stalls cuz it just doesnt wanna go...w/ the stock airfilter i had no problem..i dunno about the CAI though...
CAI is always your best bet since the filter doesnt have to deal with heat generated from the motor that much..however some people have been afraid of hydrolocking their motors so they opt for the SRI. Anyways w/ the SRI theres very little modifications needed to install whereas the CAI you have to relocate your windshield wiper fluid, gotta cut some stuff inside the fender
