Default Should I buy it?

There is a 93' lude, at a used auto lot not far from my house. I had a good look at the car I know its an S class and the paint is a little warn out in the back with a dented bumper.. its got 187,000 miles on it..The Inter. looks nice and cleaned. And there asking for about $3000. What do you all think?

I think it is too high. I got my 1992 Si 4WS 5spd for $1800. It did need some work but I was going to change thses parts anyways.

For $3000 I think you can get a lower mileage Si. I would say $3000 is a good deal if the car does not need ANYTHING and it has maintanence records. But my personal opinion is that you should get an Si. There is a BIG difference between the two.

Hope this helps

If you are planning on doing performance i would wait until you found one with the right engine for that price. I found my 93 vtec for 1200 with some dented fenders. I found my 92 S model for 2200 with nothing wrong with it. Just wanted to give you a general price for what some of us paid for ours. Good luck

Ya I think its a little high too... Whats the difference between the Si and the S model? I really dont give a fruit about the engine cuz i have enough money to do a Vtec swap.. And you see the BIG problem is that there arnt many cheap preludes for sale were I live. Im lucky I found this one.

tell him you will give him 1700 cash...then haggle from there....if you dont give a hoot about the engine thats fine, but getting it manual will be the best part....you have to get quite a bit of stuff to get a Auto-> manual (f22 to h22)...I had a quote of about 2000-2200 with me having all the parts to make a 92 S auto a 92 s w/h22 5 spd
