quick question here.. i posted something about my dead coils squeaking a while back and you suggested i get some spring isolators.. well i emailed ahmotor and they quoted me $6.85 each! (they aren't available for the G3) they said it only showed 1 isolator per spring. but i think that depends how many dead coils there are. anyway my question is how many coils does 1 spring isolator wrap around?

thanks

I have 3/spring (H&R sport) and it came off my stock springs. So i think 3 is enough but if you want to make sure, order 4/spring.

I don't have 1st person experience, but it seems to me you could find hosing/conduit at the hardware store that would do the trick just fine. Just slit it along its length and slip it over the coils, you know what I mean?

6.85 * 8 = $54.8
I guess the 80 is + shipping and tax huh?

What you can do is ask around for pps who have coilovers. Coilovers won't require you to use these, so they might sell these things for cheap.

$6.85 each?? Ouch. Did they say if that price was for a set of three and not one? One piece wraps around just one coil. A stock rear spring came with three. You really need three per spring. You shouldn't need any isolators on the front springs.

it's all good now, i bought a total of 12 isolators used from some people on this board.. and yes i do need them for the front.. they're squeaking worse than the rears!

just received the first 6 in the mail today!

i'm gonna install them next weekend and hopefully the noise will be gone. thanks for all your help!
