They're made out of rubber. Try attaching it to the turbo, the heat will deform it and blow the pipes right off

How flexible are the silicone couplers? My throttlebody measures 2 5/8 and the couplers come in 2 1/2. Will it stretch enough to fit?

You can buy couplers in 1 foot pieces and cut your own to save some cash.
They also sell t-bolt clamps too.

We used home depot couplers to extend the turbo piping for Cyphear's turbo kit and we have actually had more blow offs with the silicone couplers. Their has been no deformation with the home depot coupler. Note: Only two home depot couplers were used in this in this install, and does not connect to the turbo directly.
I too am searching. Best place I've found for Silicone connectors is: http://www.roadraceengineering...s.htm ...I'm buying 2 ft just to be on the safe side [it's cheaper in longer lengths too] and for the T-Bolt connectors, I'm going with: http://www.partssystems.com/sh...REEZE ...$2.40 ea...can't beat that.
