I have a 98 acura integra LS automatic and recently I noticed that when I switch it into reverse out of my garage it does a kinda THUNK and jerks the car does it when I switch to d4 also.. kinda choppy when I am accelerating also jumps from gear to gear until I have driven for a while then everything is fine.. Anyone know what problem this might be? Thanks

 

How many miles?

Have you changed your ATF? Did you use Honda ATF?

 

just in case he doesn't know..
ATF is short for automatic transmission fluid.

check the level on that first

 

definitely a tranny problem, check the fluid like these guys said...

 

80,000 miles on it. Had the transmission flushed yesterday.. Doesn't seem like it helped. Problem still persists.
