Will CTR pistons in my gsr motor with skunk2 stage 2 cams have enough valve clearance ?

 

I think your cutting it as close as you can but your MIGHT be OK.....CLAY the motor to be safe...

 

anyone know ? i just don't want a valve and piston getting to friendly....

I've got that combination running in my car right now, but I clayed my motor first. Not a whole lot of clearance but going fine for 2000 miles now

 

Depend on how you adjust your cam gears. If you advance intake or retard exhaust too much, you might have problem.

 

for my own uses... would ITR pistons be a better compromise?

I beleive so, the CTR pistons are very aggresive.

 

Might I ask what "clay"ing a motor is and does?

claying the motor involves pulling off your head and putting small pieces of clay on each of the pistons and checking the clearances.
