New front lip pictures on a Hot Rod drag civic- Gettin lower!

Default New front lip pictures on a Hot Rod drag civic- Gettin lower!

Front View of Joe Housley's car with carbon fiber lip
This brought the front end down to the legal limit and kept some air from getting under the car. This is a great idea.


You can see if cut thin enough you can curve our rigid plate slightly, yet it's very stiff. In the Sonoma pits the wind caught the front end and it landed on the carbon and it was fine. Very stiff. We made this with our 7x59" plate- cut in half. The carbon follows the contour of the lower edge, this is why it curves in a bit on the two sides.

wow joe has gone through alot of progress scince his b16 S/C, i was in his shop when it was being cutted and gutted and it had the built turbo motor, what is his best time so far with the new setup?

not sure how wide a tire you plan on running.. you might want to form the nose so the wheels are not exposed on the top of the fender and front of bumper..

how much will it be for a lip custom made for a 96-00 civic hatch back with a one peice front end let me no cuzz the lip looks great

Yes that is right. That was at about 4500 ft above sea level. You can build one by buying our 7x59" piece and cutting it lengthwise and rivet it on.

he did the 9 sec pass at RMR??? that would make him the first 9 sec honda at that track right?
