These are from Houston. The first video we destroyed the 3rd gear syncro. It was about a 130mph pass.

We only got 1/2 hour between runs so just tried it again. No time to swap trannys. This pass was about 140mph but the camera came loose and moved all over the place. Kind of goofy..

Looked like it was pulling pretty hard to the right during the run, alignment issues or just because less distance from trans to wheel on that side?

Maybe it's just the camera angle. It looks like from about the 330 on the steering wheel was angled at about 2 oclock.

When you get in a race car with that size slick with that much power, thats how they drive. Even when the wheel is turned, its going straight.

These days we have been pulling the trans and opening them a couple times in a race weekend.

The motor has been running ****, just gotta keep the trans. in for the long hule and she should fly. That trany came out with the sync. melted to the gear. It would not even go into 3rd gear with the car sitting still not running. It was TRASHED! We are down to pretty much no tranys left...and just using the scraps we have for the rest of the season.

how many trannies and motors do you guys go through in a season? say, if a motor holds strong throughout half the season, do you guys rebuild it anyways? or do you only rebuild when there is mechanical damage?

We are only on our second motor of the season. We open the motor up to check things out, but if everything looks fine, we button it back up.

lol, stop using your right hand to film and use it to shift instead of taking you foot off the gas and using your foot to shift.

you'd get it into gear easier...i think.

awesome vids btw, i love the sound of dem ole racer cars.

What is usually breaking on the trannys?

Approx how much power are you putting down? If you want to say.
