Default act clutch not fitting flush with flywheel? is this normal?

heres the the deal I have a 92 prelude, swapping in a h23, installing act clutch xs pressure plate, and a 6 puck disc, now when I have the disc and Pressure plate on the flywheel the pressure plate doesn't fit flush on the flywheel. it sticks about 1/4 inch off the flywheel, maybe less. all the bolt holes and pins match up. if I tighten down the pressure plate won't that be to much force on the disc. and keep it engaged? or is this normal? I hate like hell to bolt every thing together find out its wrong and have to rip it back down. thanks Ray

I am a little confused what you mean here.
Are you saying that the pressure plate does not mate up flush with the flywheel?
Or when the pressure plate is mated up with the flywheel there is a gap between the pucks and the flywheel?
