got an h22 transmission and it was working fine for 2 months no problems. then all the sudden yesterday on the way home from work it dosent shift into 1st, 3rd, or 5th gear.

what would cause this? shifts into 2nd and 4th and R fine

if you fiddle with the stick you can barely get it into 1,2,5 gear 1 out of 10 tries when the car is rolling

if the cars not running it shifts into all gears fine
if the cars running and not rolling it shifts into 1,3,5 gear 50% of the time with some fiddling of the stick..

this happend all of the sudden and never had anywarning signs before hand...

can anyone help????? i dont want to put the car away for the year this early but its not looking good...

 

syncros/clutch?

 

Maybe the shifter cable? I have no idea.

 

When is the last time you checked the oil level in the tranny?

 

i checked it when i got home after i couldent shift anymore

Are the bushings worn out at the ends of the cables??..Most manual cable transmissions have an adjustment for the selector cable right under the stickshift. Take the boot off and look for it.....3gdude

 

the same thing happend to my friend. the cable selector needs to be adjusted back to spec
