Excessive Carbon/Soot Build up on Exhaust Tip

The exhaust tip on my RSX S is extremely black (even with scrubbing). There looks like an excessive build up of carbon or soot. I do run the car hard. It's got 44k miles, and I've noticed this since very early.

Anyone else notice this?

i got lots of soot on my tip too. i like the way it looks

my ep3 gets the same way. I think its because the cars run rich under WOT conditions.
