BAD IDLE
ok 1st off, 94Ls with a b20 swap,
the idle goes from 500 rpm to 3k rpm just back and forth,
replaced: idle air control, ecu water temp swith, cap and rotor, spark plugs, spark plug wires, All honda parts,
still doing it, i unplug the tps and it levels out. the tps has .4 volts closed and 4.80 wide open throttle. So i think its good, checks out hot or cold, has anyone had a map fail like this? now there are 4 differant marks on the timing pully, what one gets the timing light? @14* btdc
also i couldnt find a ecu port jumper under the right kick pannel, am i missing anything? when i start my car up it has the work on engine soon light flashes a bunch , but no check engine light.
just unplug the tps, went for a ride, check engine light was on but it ran good and had a good idle, i have a aem fuel rail and fpr, its set to 40 psi,
thanks for the help.... this is not a toyota so im lost a little,

Timing marks... The one all by itself is #1 TDC. Then there's 3 more, together. The middle of that bunch is stock timing (16?) and the others are 2 degrees on either side of that.
The connector you want to jumper isn't exactly under the kick panel. On mine it was tucked up alongside the glovebox, above the kickpanel. Stick your head down on the floor & look up in that area, I didn't have to remove the glovebox or kick panel. Mine was stuck into a rubber holder that covers up the end of the plug.
The maintenance reqd. light doesn't have anything to do with this. It's just a mileage reminder for oil changes & stuff. Reset button is under driver's side dash, facing towards the gas pedal, above your right knee.
