Full Race vs. LoveFab dyno challenge.....got it!
Tell you what I will do. I have a manifold coming from Full Race and if Cody will oblige and send me one of his I will test both on our chassis dyno. I know LoveFab is so very far behind but I will only need it for a couple of days.
Who wants to know the results?? With Geoff and Cody's permission I will post them.

If either objects then no test will be done.

I'd rather not just compare full-race vs lovefab but most of the other manifolds in the market also

If anyone has one they would like to submit for testing then it is welcome

I know about the whole "manifold" problem, but since when do you have to get permissin to test products
Just test the damn things. I mean if i was to buy both manifolds or have them at my disposal i feel i have every right to test them and post results, i dont see anything wrong with that. Both manifolds are great, like Geoff, said it really just comes down to the buyer preference

All manifolds will run with the same settings in Motec. I think this is the only way to be fair

No it wouldn't. Each manifold when installed would need to be tuned accordingly, each may or will require different fuel settings/requiremets due to airflow and spool time, let's say Full Race or even Lovefab mani actually spooled 300rpm sooner than the other mani then you would need to tune it richer there and tune the timing also. That is like saying throwing some Jun 3 or Skunk2 cams, Edelbrock intake mani and TB on and seeing if you made more power just slapping it on for comparison. Definately the new cams would need more fuel same as turbo slap a big turbo or mni on that spools quicker you'll run lean. Just my opinion though .

you could do that as as secondary thing..
test them with the exact same settings and see how each performs.. youll then get some idea of how each work and then you can tune both and then compare that aswell!
I think you need the "generic" test to get a sort of "baseline"

exactly what I was thinking. You have to tune the engine to "accept" each manifold or else the test is useless.

Im glad some one voluntered, if not, I was going to...
Im interested to see what makes more power. But I dont think that the setting should be change to account for the manifold, I think that same setting, same enviornment, same temp, same everything is how the two should be tested. Any how i think that this is a neat idea, and just hope that it doesnt spread ill will or intentions on any one. If everyone can keep the frame of mind that this is all in good sport, and not turn it into a pissing contest (when results come out) than it will have been worth it. Lets get it going!

look at how old the post is champ. do you honestly think that somone can get 2 differant manifolds from 2 differant manufactures, swap manifolds, and do dyno comparisons within a few days....1 day actually. the topic was posted yesterday....
come on now, be realistic here.

Those are just guys talking. I am not much of a talker because talk is cheap. What I say, I do. If those guys will submit them, they will be tested. The ball is in their court.
