ST Corsa Cam Gears: Good?
What's the scoop on these ST Corsa cam gears?
I saw a picture of them for the first time last night. Maybe I've been living under a rock or something, but I haven't heard a thing about them.
I also searched the heck out of the site and there are only a couple of posts that come up.
The locking pin looks like a great idea, but has anyone used them?

Recently installed them with Toda A's on my brother's ITR and they work very well. Tolerences are nice and tight, adjustment on the dyno was quite easy, and the locking pin virtually ensures that they will not slip.
I'm glad you asked.
Frankly, they are just very new to the market, and only now filtering out across the US. For instance there was recently an ad for ST Corsa (and it's distributors, myself included) featured in Drag Sport Magazine.
Every company out makes cam gears, people usually only buy a set once and forget about it (they're put to use on a dyno...and then the rest of the time sit there doing their job - helping you make power). To the many who have had cam gears slip, they write it off and continue with their setups.
To answer your question (and I'll make clear I do sell these), yes they are good! The owner of ST Corsa personally developed these in his Civic and has run them for tens of thousands of miles under his watchful eye. He believes in the design enough to get a patent (an arduous task). Additionally, I will be installing a set in my own DC2 to accompany in the tuning process.
If you have any other questions feel free to ask. If I can't answer them, I'll pass them on to the owner of ST Corsa.
