Default About to install my Zex kit...

Im about to install my kit myself, and just wanted to make sure it was straight forward, and the instructions were well explained. If anyone who has done this before has any advice, I would appreciate it. Also, I plan on jetting it for a 55 shot, retarding my timing 1 degree, and installing the fuel jet that is for the 65 shot, along with my Zex plugs. I have a fuel pump, and a B&M fuel pressure modifier. I didnt plan on having any tuning done, I think I should be ok with those extra steps to assure adequate fuel and protection against detonation. Also, anyone with similar setup please tell me your current fuel pressure, Im coming back to N/A and need to know where to place my fuel pressure. Thanks.

Gmoore,

Your actually going beyond what is necessary. I wouldn't change the fuel jet to a 65 if your only running a 55 shot. Also you will be better off usinga stock fpr rather than the adjustable one you have. I know its a little intimidating when going nitrous but this kit is fool proof and as safe as you could imaginie. Don't retard your timing and if you have any questions about the install pm me and Ill help you along. Im tellin you zex has it down to a T to where you should worry about a thing as long as the install is done correctly!!

I installed the zex kit on my car and it was a piece of cake. If you have cam gears, you could run a 75 shot and retard timing 4 degrees. The colder zex plugs will be fine, and the fpr and fuel pump should work. Just set them to the factory settings, b/c that is what zex plans on most users to have installed.

You all seem to be very confident in the kit, Im just too worrysome. Are my ideas bad/harmfull? Or are they just not necessary? Anyone know what stock fuel pressure is?

EDIT- Searched and found about 40psi for stock. Should I run like 45-50?

i have the ZEX kit on my LS... i love it... i run a 65 shot with no problems at all... with the new azenis i got and high flow cat, ill hit 13's probably. It is a great kit and there is really nothing to worry about. I may be running a 75 shot soon. im gonna try it on the street for awhile then at the track. i have a FPR and have it set at 42-45psi. thats all you really need. i just raised the pressure a little from stock and retarded the timing. I also have NGK colder plugs. With all this done you will have no problems
