Default Is it worth doing my own body work?

http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4289182447

those are the pics... It looks like I need the following parts. and I was wondering whether it is hard to put the panelling on...

Rear Bumper
the Strip right above the rear bumper
Tail Light
Right Rear Panel
New Door Panel
New Fender
New Front Bumper

The body shop is charging somewhere around 2500k for parts... for a total of 5460 for paint on THOSE PARTS ONLY, not the entire car..

Now if I buy and put the panels on myself, I can get it painted all new for 2200 dollars. Is it worth it to do the stuff myself from the insurance money I get? or should I just let them do it?

That all depends on how handy you are with a wrench. I personally would take it to a shop but if the frames not bent and you have the tools to do it, then go for it. BTW How did that happen?

I went around a corener and the rear end came loose and did spin and into ditch where A COUPLE trees promptly stopped me.

If you have to ask, take it to the body shop.

If you still want to take on the task of doing it yourself, I would suggest looking at the rear panel and door panel first. If you believe you could repair those, than you can do everything yourself.

who recommended the bodyshop
last time I got into a fender bender I went to an insurance place
cause I was no quite familiar with the area
and they refered me to two reputable shops and the one I decided to
go they did the job for $800 (3days)
instead of another quote that I got for $2,500 (one week)

cause if you are planning on working a dark color all mistakes are noticed
quicker
so let the body shop do the job

this is the most reputable shop in town. If the car could drive, I'd take it more places

Do the work yourself and keep the extra insurance money...IF you are uncomfortable with some repairs then do at least the minor stuff to save you some cash....I just put my 94 teg back together and it turned out quite nicely. FYI I also shaved the emblems, side moldings, rear squirter, and rain channels, so IM me if you need advice.
