The other day i had been driving around in my dropped teg and previously hada problems with my bumper. The top corner of the bumper where it touches the front fender was little seperated from each other. Then where I usually park there is a tree root that sticks out a little and I mis calculated and with a loud snap, I ran over the root. I was like oh ****! I take a look and my front bumper is completely seperated. I was pissed. So I looked at the damage and it just looked like it just needed to be reconnected but had no idea how. So I take it to a body shop in hopes that they could do something quick and easy.
I get there and imiediately the guy starts to frown and moan and he's like:"Oooooo! you really did it now? Man that's gonna cot you" I was shocked. They guy said it was going to take them three hours to fix what I did and $150. I decided to shop around. I got the following prices: $150, $300, and $96. I was highly pissed i wans't on planning on spending more than $30 to fix this. I decided I was going to do this **** by myself. So I went to ricer heaven (Pep Boys). And I bought a complete 111 set for $41 bucks because 1) I dont have any tools 2) Because I needed to fix it.
So I just take off the bumper and reattach it to my car and the frikking car looked like it was done at a body shop. It fit snuggly on regardless that some of the clips the bumper had where broken. After I fix my bumper I went over that colombian fagget and I gave him to fingers that he could try to get $150 from me. Jerk!
I'm kinda proud of myself because this was my first DIY project ever.

very nice. i need to do some of that DIY bodywork myself on my front bumper (sounds like i have just about the exact same problem you had but not as severe) and my rear which got wripped off by some weird piece of metal protruding from a curb..which is now being held on by a zip-tie. good luck in your future DIY ventures.
