Default JG Edelbrock header...

In my quest for a new header (OEM one is cracked), I found a pretty good deal on a used JG Edelbrock proflow header. I've read that they have pretty good gains. Anyone here have any experience with them? I just need some thing to help me along with this desicion, cuz I need a header soon, just wanna make sure they make good stuff...Thanks for the help...

I haven't owned one personally but I've heard nothing but good things. If the price is right go for it

Get it, and then have IB mod it.

yeah, I've heard good things about the IB mod, how much does it cost to do it?

I've got a GSR pro-flo on my ls teg. Quality of the product is top notch. I experienced good gains in the mid to high range, and couldn't be happier. It ended up costing me about $350 US shipped ($530 CDN up here in canada) brand new off of ebay. I was quoted at $900 + taxes CDN here in Winnipeg and found the ebay deal in Ontario. According to import tuner issue 33 (or 32) it made 13 peak hp more and increases of torque were 10 ft/lbs over stock in certain rpms. The only other mods to the gsr was an air intake, the cat-back portion was stock.

i have one currently and it's been about a year since I've put it in, with no problems. Quality is good, sound is good, performance is good. If I were to do it all over again, this header would be one of the few on my list to choose from.

thanks,

I graduated with the son of the owner of VT Comp Engines (they were mentioned in a Honda Tuning mag, most powerful B series or something like that). Plus my little bro is friends with the other son of Mr. Thompson. I'm gonna see if I can get a hook up with them on a before and after dyno. The first time you go in you get free dyno time, I'm gonna see if I can just split the time, go home and install the header, then come back and see the gains.
