help deciphering digital airfuel reading on apexi turbo timer
ok i got my turbo timer hooked up and it also reads my airfuel reading from the O2. now i know this aint no wideband reading but just a ballpark reading. the apexi timer is telling me that my airfuel ration is around 14.6-16.1 just driving normally but when i start boosting and the rpms creep up to around like 7000 rpms the airfuel meter starts reading like 10.1-11.5 somethign liek that. i was told that turbo hondas are supposed to run well with a air fuel of around 11.1 or somethign liek that but i read in another topic about some guys booted 90 prelude and he had like 14.1 air fuel reading and peopel were telling hiim hes too lean and hes gonna blow his motor . can some one help unconfuse me?
Normal street engine you should shoot for about 12:1, but since you are only using a narrowband o2, i wouldnt trust it at all.
great thanx. but from my narrowband readings, saying 14.1 does that sound too lean? 10.1-11.1 at higher rpms? even though i cant trust these readings are they higher or lower than wideband readings?
when your cruising around it is going to fluctuate.... the apexi isnt even worth looking at, its an autometer with numbers. you want to get to at tuner and tune it to 12.1:1-12.5:1. i have mine at 12.5 across the board but some people believe thats to lean, it makes more power though....

dude. they are worthless.
Might as well compare your radio station to your actual airfuel
