Default Are JDM camshafts better than U.S. versions?????

I recently went to inlinefour and options and they both have JDM type R camshafts.
They cost more than the U.S. type R camshafts, is there a difference. When I called both stores they said that the JDM verion has a slightly higher lift.

Is this true?

The 98+ JDM ITRs have CTR intake camshafts. ITR and CTR exhaust cams are the same. The CTR intake cam has 3 degrees more duration than an ITR intake cam.
