Default Tried Pullin Motor, Now It's Stuck In ! ! !

This has been a project that's been taking WAY too long...

A while back my H23 in my 92 Prelude blew, so I bought a H22 longblock and started disassembling both motors to make an H23 VTEC. My Nissan friend w/ a shop was gonna help me, but he told me to drop the old block through the bottom, in the meantime. So I unbolted it and started pullin it apart from the tranny, and it got turned to the front a bit, like it's rotated.

I figured out that pullin it out through the bottom and doin it w/o the tranny's a no-go, so I am tryin to get the motor back together w/ the tranny while it's all in the engine bay. I got it rotated back almost the correct way, but it doesn't wanna go back into the tranny. There's these tube-things on the engine that fit into the tranny, if you know what I mean.

What's the easiest way of puttin it back together???

I'll try to get pics if I can.

just get a engine lift. It is alot easier to put the engine and tranny together on the ground.

I have a lift/hoist. That's the thing. The motor's wedged in there so I can't really move it around and I can't get it together w/ the tranny again. I want them bolted
together before I try to pull it all out.

oh dear, it's so simple, it's impossible for me to think of!

I was just stuck on the idea of pullin it all through the top....

I'll just let the tranny drop down w/ the motor some, get the motor pointed in the right direction, and pull it through the top! Thanks! at least till I try it
