H22 on a 6th gen accord? Has anyone tried it?
I have an automatic(yes, the horrors!) 6th gen I'd like to convert to an H22. Here are my questions:
1 - Will the H22 mate with the auto tranny?
2 - if not, how much more $$$ to drop in the engine and manual gearbox?
For the money, should I just sell the car and buy from one of you guys who already have a slammed 6th gen? Maybe leave Honda altogether and get a used WRX?

sell your car, by my 95 accord 4dr which already has a JDM H22 swap and buy a beater car with the rest of the money so i can buy a 2004 WRX!

honestly, i would have to tell you that it is a good swap, you get a pretty good feeling just knowing that you can keep up with a lot more cars then you use to and can sometimes (depending on the build-up you've taken on your motor) take other preludes and even civics with swaps in your 3000lb tank if anything, also theres not very many 6th gens out there with swaps even though there have been a lot of people inquiring on this subject lately.
pros:
-runs faster than with the f23 (probably a given since its a stronger motor)
-acceleration is faster
-almost a straight bolt in
cons:
-initial pick up is slow at low rpms, i would recommend a turbo to compensate since an h22 can spool a decent size turbo at pretty low rpms.
-cost of swap and manual swap, i dont recommend doing the swap if you keep the auto tranny, even though you can but i think you have to use the f22 auto tranny, because to me, if you are going to swap in a more powerful motor, why limit your potential by slaping on an auto tranny.

Can I buy your accord in two years?
At this point, I'm thinking of trading in for a 2002 WRX. However, the ride in a 6th gen accord is so nice and I can take 4 girls with me without anyone complaining I'm going over 80 mph on the busy traffic of NYC.
