How to Upload Videos
I just went to Best Buy the other day to ask. I am not a computer nerd but I hope this will help.
I have a Digital Video Camera (has DV link) so if you have the same here is what you need.
IEEE 1394 FireWire Cable. They come with different pins so you have to look at your camera and see what you need. You can look and count the pins. Cost is $39.99 at Best Buy.
Now if your computer is I-link compatible you can just hook it right up. Most computers don't have I-link so you need to purchase a Fire Wire Card which installs into the back of your computer. I was told it was simple...if you can figure out how to open your computer then you can install it.
Cost is $39.99 at Best Buy.
So for over $80 to get one of my runs on my webpage I told the guy to keep it and I thanked him for his help.
I then looked on the internet and the prices at less then half what Best Buy was asking.
Hope that helps.

Fry's has a generic Firewire cable for $10-12 or so. http://www.outpost.com
I see you asked how to get videos on the web.
1. Get the video out of the camera into the PC.
2. Use editing software (or not) to clean it up.
3. Upload the video to an ISP who you've paid to give you "host space."
4. List that link, to your videos, here, where we can then click on it.
If none of this makes sense, check around the web for "web hosting," and they will help.
