Default VAFC On h22 VTM problem? Maybe?

Ok I have a 93 jdm h22 in my civic, with a vafc. And for some strange reason when I am driving it occasionaly will do a "fuel cut off" at 6500 (but vtec and everything works. Then if I restart the car everything is fine again, but me be the detective today I noticed my vtm wire for the vafc was not hooked up at all, could this be the reason why my car will some times cut out at 6500 rpm? Anyhoo i'm going to hook the vtm to pin d6 tomorrow and see what happens, but any help on my mysterious 6500 fuel cut off would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.

thanks in advance....

yeah, I would go ahead and hook up the VTM wire to the ecu side of the VTEC pressure switch. Do you throw a CEL when the 6500 limiter kicks in?

the instructions say to have the vtm signal wire hooked up on the ecu side and unplugged on the other side.........
