i would think by pushing 194whp you would be hitting 13's already. but by seeing the 60ft times.. u need some practice. 2.5 60fts on S0-3 is terrible. and dumping it at 6k is stupid too. no need for such an agressive launch when your still using street tires.

Austin is making 180+whp and on BFG drag radials he ran 13.98 @ 98mph with a 2.2 60ft.. thats launching at 5200 and he still has traction problems. if he launched a little lower.. maybe he could bust a low 2.1 or 2.0 (he has many 2.14's)

so try...
1. better tires.. not blad at least.
2. launch way lower.. try 4k
3. dont go WOT right away.. wait till it catches.
4. shift faster.. hehe dont break nothing tho.
5. repeat steps 1-4

If you fix your 60' times you'll get the 14.0 without an issue, some stickier tires will help.

If you just drop the clutch at any rpm you'll burn out. You need to feather the clutch slightly while feeding in throttle. Once engine speed and road speed match, floor it completely and away you go. I personally launch at 5000-6000 using the technique described above while doing It I try to slip the clutch as little as possible while keeping the rpm's above 5k until road speed and rpm's match then you wont bog and your closer to vtec once the clutch is engaged. I think it would work better if you launch at a higher rpm, but I chose my point to somewhat save my clutch for another day(its stock) my best 60ft is a 2.17 (on the bridgestone re010's) but I average 2.2-2.29. Not the greatest but not bad.

I wouldn't go around saying launching high is bad if you don't know. When the track was good I launched as high as 7,000rpms on my Potenza SO-3's and have pulled 2.0 60' with them (yes on the SO-3's) and a great number of 2.1's on the way to 13 sec passes with 173whp. I wouldn't use Austin having traction issues with drag radials as an example either.

Proper throttle and clutch modulation is your friend and yes if you aren't perfect you will spin the crap out of street tires. Get it right though and it will pay off. Pulling a good 60' at a low rpm is good for just that...a good 60', but pulling it at high rpm in the power band is where the excellent times are going to come from. I can bog the car and pull good 60' times all day but I don't want the car to have to strain back through 1,000-2,000 of dead rpm (non-VTEC).

Back on the subject. Get those 60' times down and you can easily see very very low 14's. With better street tires maybe even high 13's.

So your using Kumho Supra 712's?

Or did I misread?

Definately work on lowering your launch point. Then, instead of dumping the clutch, feather it a bit then punch it once you hook up.

I landed a 2.2 60ft with the Kumho Supra 712's. And I think I could do a lot better. Only have ran the car for 4 runs. Im hoping for high 13's on the 26th. If I had some 15's and some falken azenis' I'd definately be there. My heavy 16's and the 712's are definately a negative.

Go back to the track and keep practicing.

What kinds of mods do you have? What is the elevation at Sacramento Raceway? What was the temperature like? I ran a very similar run of 14.42@97.11 w/ a 2.3 60 ft this last August w/ an AEM intake, open stock header, and no back seat or spare on semi-bald 205/50 Yokohama AVS's. You've got a solid trap speed and I would think low 14's are well within reach for you once you get your 60 fts. in the sub 2.2 range.
